A RESOLUTION EXEMPTING FROM 1.INICIPAL TAXATION FOR A PERIOD
OF FIVE YEARS THE LiANUFACTURING BUSINESS AND PROPERTIES OF THE B WiES
INDUSTRIES, INCORPORATED, LOCATED iN THE KATTERJOHN BUILDING AT 1016
JEFFERSON STREET Iiy PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
WHEREAS, Bowes industries, Incorporated, has submitted its
application for exemption from municipal exemption of its business
and manufacturing properties located in a building owned by the heir:
.t lair of George 'J. Katterjohn, Sr., deceased, 1015 Jefferson s treet
.n Paducah, Kentucky; and
i'MEREAS, it appearing from said application that paper plates,
n entirely new product will be manufactured by Bowes Industries,
ncorporated, and that said plant is a new and bona fide manufactur-
ng establishment, and under the Statutes of the Commonwealth of
entucky and the ordinances of the City of Paducah, said manufactur-
ng business and properties are exempt from municipal taxation for
period of five years as an inducement to the operation of said
iness in Paducah, Kentucky;
NOW TFEREFORE BE I^1 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CO!"MISSIONERS
F THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1. That the business and manufacturing machinery,
euipment and properties owned by Bovies Industries, Incorporated,
nd located at 1016 Jefferson Street in Faducah, Kentucky, be exempt
rom the payment to the City of Paducah of all license taxes, ad
alorem taxes, with the exception of taxes due and payable for school
urposes, for a period of five years, the exemption from license tax(
o begin with the year 1948 and the exemption from ad valorem taxes
o begin with the assessment which will become due in the year 1949.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
and after its adoption.
