A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HON. AL.BEN W. BARKLEY
AND THE HON. JOHN SHERMAN COOPER, SENATORS FROM KENTUCKY, TO
SUPPORT THE FEDERAL -AID HIGHWAY BILL NOW PENDING IN THE
CONGRESS
WHEREAS, by reason of their limited financial resources,
most municipalities throughout the nation are unable to provide
good streets; and
WHEREAS, appropriations by the Federal Government for
street construction work in cities will be beneficial to all
citizens on account of the frequent and constant use of streets
by tourists and other motorists wherever they may reside;
NOW THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED that the Hon. Alban V!.
Barkley and the Hon. John Sherman Cooper, be urged to give
their active support to the passage of the Federal-Aif Highway
Bill, H.R. 5888, and to do everything in their power to see that
appropriation is made before the adjournment of the present
session.
