AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONVEYANCE TO THE

CO IMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF HICH17AYS, OF CERTAIDI STRIPS OF GROUND TO BE
USED AS A RIGHT OF WAY _N CONNECTION WITH THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE BELT LINE HIGHWAY THROUGH THE CITY OF PADUCAH; AND
AUTHORIZING ME MAYOR PRO TEM AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
DEEDS OF CONVEYANCE TO THE PROPERTY TO BE USED FOR SUCH
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMi:;ISSIONERS OF TIT
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:.
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for
and in consideration of the sum of ::.5,539.00 which is to be
paid to the Paducah Golf Commission for the dama`es to the
golf course caused by the c onstruc tion of the belt line high-
way adjacent thereto and for re -arranging the facilities of
said golf course, hereby sell and convey to the Commonwealth
of Kentucky for the use and benefit of the Department of
Highways, two (2) certain strips or parcels of land for use
as -a right of way in connection with the construction of a
belt line highway through the City of Paducah, s aid strips
or parcels of ground being more particularly described as
follows:
Parcel Wil
All that part of said tract or tracts which
lies within a distance of 33 feet on the South
or right side of the center line of said proposed
public road, between the hest property line,
which is the existinL Fast right-of-way line on
Lone Oak Road, at approximate station 11{55.5
and the existing Jackson street right-of-way
line at approximate station 20/50.
Also the following parcel of land lying immediately
adjacent to the above described parcel, on the
side, to the width and between the stations shown
below;

(a) West property line 12/40 38, Right
Parcel (a) is for the purpose of constructing a entrance
to Paxton Park during construction of the proposed public
road, license to which is made a part of this conveyance.

All that part of said tract or tracts which lies
Northwest of a line described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing Southeast
right-of-way line of Jackson Street, said point
of beginning being 33 feet right and opposite
approximate station 27/00 of said proposed
public road; thence running in a northeasterly
direction 516 feet more or less to a point in
the northeast property line, which is the ex-
isting Southwest right-of-way line of the F 8 I
Railroad Company at approximate station 31/97,
said point being 70 feet right and opposite
approximate station 32/15.

SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah donate to the
Commonwealth of Kentucky for tt:e use and benefit of the
department of IIiPhways a certain strip or parcel of ground
to be used as a ri.-ht of way for the construction of the
new belt line tighway through the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
said strip or parcel of ground being more particularly

All that part of said tract or tracts which lies
within a distance of 33 feet on the North or left
side of the center line of said proposed public
road, between the Northwest property line at
approximate station 14/07 and the Northeast
property line at approximate station 17/82.
Also the following parcel of land lying immed-
iately adjacent to the above described parcel,
on the side, to the width and between the
stations shown below:

Parcel (a) is for the purpose of constructing backslopes during
construction of the proposed public road, license to w hich is
Imade a part of this conveyance.
SECTION 3. The t:iayor Pro mem and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of the City of
Paducah, to execute the deeds under which the above described prop-
erty shall be conveyed to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the
uses and purposes herein provided.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
