AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KRUG-THOMAS TRUCK
'I& TRACTOR COMPANY FOR THE SALE OF THREE (3) 11,.2- TON INTERNATIONAL
DUMP TRUCKS TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH BY TRADING IN FOR SAID
TRUCKS STREET DEPARTMENT TRUCKS BEARING KENTUCKY LICENSE
NUMBERS T5704, T65715 AND T68717, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C014MISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid
of Krug -Thomas Truck & Tractor Co., in the sum of sf5,533.83
for the purchase of three (3) 12W ton International dump trucks,
id sum representing the difference between the sale price
the said three (3) new trucks and the trade-in value
llowed by the said Krug -Thomas Truck & Tractor Co., for three
Street Department trucks bearing 1948 Kentucky License numbers
1T8704, T6715 and T5717.
SECTION 2. That the City Ianager be, and he is
hereby authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf
of the City of Paducah, a contract for the purchase of the
aforesaid three (3) new dump trucks from Krug -Thomas Truck &
Tractor Co., provided said company shall execute and deliver
to the City of Paducah a bond guaranteeing delivery of said
trucks within. seventy (70) days after the date of said contract,
and provided further that said contract contains such other
covenants and conditions which the City Manager may wish to
impose.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a
regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file
for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary
for the Street Department to be furnished with new trucks as
soon as possible in order to properly and efficiently clean
and repair streets of the city, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
