YEAR 1948 (APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 12 CARLOADS) TO BE USED IDi STREET

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COT.WISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
SEC TION 1.
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
advertise for bids for the purchase of the city's 'requirement of
1 - 2 - 3 M.C. Liquid Asphalt and R.C. 3 Liquid Asphalt for the
year 1948 (Approximately 8 to 12 carloads). The bid price to be
F.O.B. city track at 6th & Campbell streets, Paducah, Kentucky,
asphalt to be delivered as ordered in 6500 gallon tank cars equipp d
with steam coils to heat, and said material must meet Kentucky State
Highwaj specifications. He is requested to advertise by posting a
notice at the City ?-fall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall
be posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening o
bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date
on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received after
the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
for the opening of bids shall be filed with the board of Comm-
issloners who may let the bid to the lowest responsible bidder or
bidders. The ri._ht shall be reserved to reject any and all bids
and all bids shall provide a guarantee against advance'in the
market price, and also a reduction in price in the event of a
decrease in the market price.
SECTION 2.
