AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RE-APIR OPRIATION OF CERTAIN OF
THE PUBLIC FUNDS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR THE YEAR 1947 BY
TRANSFERRING UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS MADE FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES TO
O'T'HER PURPOSES; SPECIFYING T',F TRANSFERS TO BE PdADE; AND REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH
'.-IJHEREAS, under the apportionment ordinance adopted on April 3
1947, as will be shown of record in ordinance book Ido. 11, at page
75 of the official records of the City of Paducah, the public fun&
of the City were appropriated for the governmental purposes provid
therein, and it now appears from the report of the City manager th
adjustments should be made by transferring funds which will not be
needed for certain purposes to other purposes; and
'WHEREAS, the transfer of the public funds of the city is furt
required in order to provide the funds necessary for increasinE, th
salaries of city employees;
NOIN THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COidMISSIONERS 0
THE CITY OF PADUCA.H, ICNTPUCKY:
SEC TION 1.
That certain of the public funds of the City of Paducah be re
appropriated for tip year 1947 by transferring unused appropriatio
made for particular purposes under the apportionment ordinance of
1947 to other purposes, and that the City Treasurer be, and he is
hereby authorized to make the follo:,iing transfers

SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the ext§nt of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be pblished
in the Sun -Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance
and the proposal to make the aforesaid transfers of the public funds
for the year 1947, said -notice to be published at least one week
before this ordinance shall be put upon its final passage.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public
inspection until the notice of the transfer of public funds as provided
herein shall have been published as required by law, and shall be put upon
its !'Anal passage after such publication.
