A RESOLUTION URGING THE ARBITRATOR APPOINTED BY NARY DERONDA
STEWAR T, OWNER OF' THE PADUCAH BUS COMPANY, AND THE ARBITRATOR
' APPOINTED BY THE LOCAL UNION KNO1.7N AS DIVISION 1190 OF THE
AMALGAMATED ASSOCIATION OF STREET, ELECTRIC RAILWAY AND MOTOR
COACH EI:iPLOYEES OF AMERICA, TO APPOINT A THIRD ARBITRATOR TO ACT
AS UMPIRE IAT ORDER TO SETTLE AS SPEEDILY AS POSSIBLE ALL QUESTIONS
INVOLVING THE CONTRACTUAL RIGHTS OF THE PARTIES
WHEREAS, as a result of the controversy between Nary Deronda
Stewart, owner of the Paducah Lus Company, and the employees of th
Paducah `nus Company, members of the local union known as Division
1190 of the Amalgamated Association of Street, Electric Railway an(
Motor Coach Employees of America, an arbitrator has been appointed
by the said I.°ary Deronda Stewart and another by the employeeII
of said bus company, and it appearing that the two arbitrators
so appointed have been unable to adjust and settle the dispute
between said parties, and it further appearing that said arbitrator
are unable to agree upon a third member of the hoard of Arbitrator;
to act as umpire; and,
WHEREAS, the continued disagreement between the owner of the
Paducah Eus Company and the employees of said company seriously
affects the interests and general welfare of the citizens of
Paducah, and unless said controversy is settled, our citizens may
be caused to suffer great inconvenience , expense and damage;
NOIN TFIEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED EC TIIE BOARD OF COriI,:ISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION OlE
That the two arbitrators appointed to settle the controversy
between Mary Deronda Stewart, owner of the Paducah Sus Company,
and the employees of said company, proceed as speedily as possible)
to reach an agreement for the settlement thereof, and that said
arbitrators be urged to select a third person to act as umpire;
that the arbitrators so appointed authorize the Louisville Labor
Management Committee to submit to them the names of five persons
who are in a position to serve as umpires, in order to choose one
from the list so designated by said committee, that each of said
arbitrators agree to strike therefrom the names of two persons,
and that the person whose name is not stricken be appointed by the
two arbitrators to serve as umpire.

SECTION TNJO
That a certified copy of this resolution be furnished each
of the aforesaid arbitrators, and a copy also be delivered to the
Sun Democrat.
