AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF FRED K. MADREY IN THE SUM
OF $600.00 FOR THE BRICK AND OTHER MATERIALS CONTAINED IN THE OLD
ALLARD BUILDING LOCATED AT THIRD AND MADISON STREETS IN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH THE SAID FRED K, MADREY FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID BUILDING, AND
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO cE CONTAINED IN SAID CONTRAC
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF 'ME CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Fred K. Madrey
in the sum of Z"600.00 for all of the brick and other materials con-
tained in the old Allard Building located at the corner of Third
and 'Madison Streets in the City of Paducah, and the Mayor is hereby
authorized for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, to enter into
a contract with the said Fred K. Madrey, which contract shall to in
words and figures as follows, to -wit:
"That the City, for and in consideration of the sum of Six
Hundred 0600.00) Dollars to be paid to it by the purchaser (mean-
ing Fred K. Iadrey), the City hereby sells, assigns, and conveys
to the Purchaser all of the bricks and materials contained in the
Allard building located at the corner of Third and Madison
e'ts in the City of Paducah, but said sale is made upon the
:)wing terms and conditions:
(1) The City shall have the right to go upon said property and
remove as mahy brick as may be suitable for use in enclosing
the rear part of the garage for police cars and the purchas
shall be entitled to a credit on the aforesaid purchase price
the sum of $15.00 -per 1000 brick removed and used by the Cit
(2) The purchase price for said bricks and materials shall be
paid by the Furchaser in cash after the city shall have r
all brick needed for its own use, and the Purchaser shall
remove any brick or materials from said building until the
purchase price has been paid.
(3) The Purchaser agrees to remove the entire building from
the aforesaid lot, including all underground structures, a
to complete the work of razing said building by March 1st,
1948.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
ter its adoption.
