AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WOODROW HOOK AND HARRY MATHIS,
PARTNERS DOING BUSINESS UNDER THE FIRM NAME OF H & MI MOTORS, IN THE
SUM OF $7010.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
LOCATED AT 209 SOUTH THIRD STREET IN SAID CITY; AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE TO SAID
PROPERTY", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON
NOVEMBER 25, 1947
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMIISSI ONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Section 1 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE BID OF WOODR0111 HOOK AND HARRY IiL4THIS, PARTNERS DOING
BUSINESS UNDER THE FIRM NAME OF H & M MOTORS, IN UTE SUM OF $7010.0
FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH LOCATED AT 209
SOUTH THIRD STREET IN SAID CITY; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CI
CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE TO SAID PROPERTY", which was
adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 25, 1947, be and
the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall re
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of
Woodrow Hook and Harry Mathis, partners doing business under the
firm name of H & M1 Motors, in the sum of $7010.00 for the purchase
of a certain lot or parcel of land ovined by the City located at
207-09 South Third street in the city of Paducah, the same fronting
57 feet and 9 inches on the west side of Third Street, 57 feet and
9 inches south of the southwest corner of Third and Kentucky Avenue
and running back for depth a distance of 173 feet and 3 inches. Tho
purchase price shall be paid in cash, and the Mayor and City Clerk i

hereby authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah,
a deed of conveyance to said property, the same to be conveyed unde
a covenant of Special 1,Farranty and subject to any encroachment or
other physical defects which might be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
