THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN O0NF ICT
THEREWITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO1.51ISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:.
SECTION 1.
That all employees of the Street Department of the City
of Paducah who are employed on an hourly basis, or who may hereafter
be employed on that basis, shall work only forty (40) hours per week)
The hourly rates of pay of those employees who are now working forty
five (45) hours per week shall be so adjusted that each of said
employees will receive for a forty (40) hour work week the same
amount he is now receiving for forty-five (45) hours per week, and
the rates of pay of those employees who are now working in excess
of forty-five (45) hours per week will be so adjusted that each of
said employees will receive for a forty (40) hour work week the
amount to which he would be entitled if now employed forty-five (45)',
hours per week. The regular hourly rates of all employees when so
adjusted shall be as follows:

The same rate of pay shall be applicable to all employees
the Street Department for overtime work up to forty-five (45) hou
t time and one-half compensation shall be paid to all employees
said department for all hours worked in excess of forty-five (45)

SECTION 2. -
That all employees of the Cemetery Department who are

SECTION 3.
The City Manager shall determine the number of hours member
of the Street Department and the Cemetery Department will be employ
each day and whether they shall be employed for five days or for si
days per week.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and
after December 1st, 1947.
