AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANK AND AMOUNT OF MONTHLY
COMPENSATION OF EMPLOYEES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS
FOR ORIGINAL APPOINTMENTS AS MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT;
PRESCRIBING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE FILLING OF VACANCIES
BY THE OLDEST MEMBER IN POINT OF SERVICE IN THE DEPARTMENT; AND -
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED
BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON THE 26TH DAY OF MARCH, 1946, AS
AMENDED BY AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COP;hISSIONERS ON
THE 2ND DAY OF JULY, 1946
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO131ISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SEC TIOB 1.
That Section 1 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANK AND AMOUNT OF MONTHLY COMPENSATION
OF EMPLOYEES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY; PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS FOR ORIGINAL
APPOINTMENTS AS MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; PRESCRIBING THE
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE FILLING OF VACANCIES BY THE OLDEST
MEMBER IN POINT OF SERVICE IN THE DEPARTMENT; AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", which was adopted by the Board
of Commissioners on the 26th day of March, 1946, as amended by an
ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on the aid day of
July, 1946, be and the same is hereby amended so that said section
as amended shall read as follows:
"Section 1. The number and rank -of members of the Fire
Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and their salaries,
provided said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:
Position Number of Employees Monthly Salary
(1) Chief 1 $260.00
(2) Assistant Chief 1 215.00
(3) Mechanic 1 210.00
(4) Captains 5 200.00
(5) Lieutenants 6 195.00
(6) Engineers 8 190.00
(7) Switchboard Operators 3 185.00
(8) Grade "A" Firemen 19 185.00
(9) Grade "B" Firemen 1 175.00."
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after
