BE IT RESOLVE) BY THE BOARD OF COIJIESSiOI•r, RS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, K3NTUCKY: SECTIO11 1. That Section 1 of a resolution entitled: "A resolution authorizing the City Uanager to advertise for bids of contractors for the furnishing of materials and the performance of labor to complete the toilet rooms and sinks at the Paducah Market house in accordance with the specifications for said work on file in the office of the City Engineer" which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on October 28, 1947, be and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That the City Manage be, and he is hereby authorized, to advertise for bids of contractors for the construction and installation of toilet rooms and sinks at the Paducah market House in accordance with the plazas and specifications prepared by T. A. Bradlet, the City Engineer, which plans and specifications are on file in said Engineer's office at the City Hall in Paducah, Kentuc y. The City Manager shall request of the bidder that offers be submitted onta cost plus a fixed percentage basis, all materials to be fur- nished and labor to be performed at -.the expense of the city in accordance with expenditures whichare approved by the City Engineer and the contractors to state in their birds the exact percentage of the total costs which mould be acceptable for the work of constructing and installing said toilets and plumbing facilities on this basis; and that the City ianaPer r-aquest in the alternative the bids of contractors in accordance with said plans and specifications, said contractors to furnish all of the materials, tools and appliances necessary for the purpose of constructing and installing said toilet rooms and sinks. Each bidder shall accompany his bid with a certified check for 8100.00 payable to the City Treasurer. In the event the contractor whose bid is accepted shall fail or re- fuse to execute said contract within a period of ten days after the acceptance thereof, said sum shall be forfeited and may be retained by the city as liquidat• ed damages. SECTIO14 2. All resoli.tions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
