ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF CO1flaSSIONERS On SEPTELKBER. 17, 1925, AND AMENDED ON JA1r
UARY 21, 1947.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BQA_RD OF COI:_TSSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
YENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That section 42 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING
TRAVEL AILD TRA^FIC -- THE USE OF STREETS BY VEHICLES, STREET CARS AND PEDES-
TRIANS: CREATING A CENTRAL TRAFFIC ANTI BUSI14ESS DISTRICT, ESTABLISHING BOULE-
VARDS, SAFETY ZONES, AND AUTHORIZING THA; I.IARKLNG OF CROSSUALKS OR ANY ZONES
HEREIN PROUIDED FOR, AILD THE ERECTION 0" SIGNS AND SIGNALS; REGULATING PARKING,
AND DESCRIBING THE STREETS AM) PORTIONS OF STREETS THAT 11AY BE USED FOR PARKING,
APID THE I..^ANIM OF UTILIZING SAI.1, IN TTIE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AND FIXING
A PENALTY FOR AIIY 17i0LAT--L014 HEREOF", which was adopted by the Board of Commis-
sioners on September 17, 1925, and amended on January 21, 1947, be and the
same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 42 (a) With the exception of the penalties imposed under
sub -section (b) of this section, any person violating or failing to comply
with any of the provisions of this ordinance, (or any rule or regulation of the
Police Department, adopted pursuant thereto) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Five
05.00) Dollars, and not more than One Hundred (,1100.00) Dollars, or by im-
prisonment in t're City Jail for a period not to exceed fifty (50) days, or by
both such fine and imprisonment.
11(b) Any person violating the provisions of Sub -sections (E), (F),
(G), (H), (I), (J). (K) and (L) of Section llt of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be pt!nishable by (1) a fine
of not less than Five 05.00) Dollars and not more than One Hundred (1$100.00)
Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not to exceed
Fifty (50) day.j, or by both such flne and imprisonment if his rate of speed
shall not exceed thirty (30) miles per hour. (2) A fine of not less than Ten
(x10.00) Dollars and not more than Chic Hundred (;8100.00) Dollars, or by im-
prisonment in tho City Jail for a period of not to exceed fifty (50) days, or
by both such fine and imprisonment if his rata of apeed shall exceed thirty (30)
miles per hour but shall riot be in excess of Thirty nine (39) miles per hour.

(3) A fine of not less than Fiftcen (,15.00) Dollars and,not more than $100.00
;One Fundred Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not to

exceed Fifty (50) da,•s, or by both such fine and imprisonment if his rate of
I
speed shall exceed Thirty—nine (39) miles per hour but shall not be in excess
of Forty—four (114) miles per hour; and (11) a fine of not less than Nineteen
and 5o/loo (419.50) Dollars, and not more than One Iiundred (,3100.00) Dollars
or by imprisonment in the City Ja11 for a period of not to exceed fifty (50)
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment if his rate of speed s'.;all exceed
Forty—four (44) miles per hour.

All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the
extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECUON 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
Iladoption.
