A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE SALE OF THE PROPERTY ON WHICH THE OLD FIRE HOUSE AT
TENTH AND CLAY STREETS IS LOCATED, AND THE OLD ALLARD PROPERTY LO-
CATED AT THIRD AND MADISON STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUC ,
AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH BIDDERS SHALL
BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SEC TION 1.
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
advertise for bids for the sale of the property on which the old
fire house at Tenth and Clay Streets is located; and he is also
authorized to advertise for bids for the sale of the old Allard
property at Third and Madison Streets in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky. Any bidder may, at his option when submitting an offer
for the Allard property, submit a bid for the building and land,
or the building alone, upon the condition that it will be entirely
removed from the lot, or the lot along after the building has
been removed.
SEC TION 2.
The City Manager shall advertise for the aforesaid bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of
the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun Democrat.
The notice shall be posted and published at least seven days prior
to the opening of bids and no bid shsll be opened within ten days
from the date of the adoption of this resolution. No bid shall be
receoved unless it is under seal, nor shall any bid be received
after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All
bids received by the City Manager up to the :time fixed in the
notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may accel t
the offers of the highest responsible bidders. The Board of Comm-
issioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all offers and
the city may not become legally obligated for thes ale of said
properties until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of deeds or other proper instruments of conveyance.
SEC TION 3.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
