AN ORDINANCE DEFINTITO SCHOOL ZOIiE3, LITPUTINr THE
RATE OF SPEED THEREIN, AND PRESCRIBING; `Il-ir, PENALTY FOR Airy
VIOIATION THEREOF
LE IT ORDAINED by TIM BOARD OF C01-1,IjSIC'IEFfs OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
As used in this ordinance a "School Gone" shall mean
and include those streets upon which the land or lot of any
school in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, shall abut.
SECTIOFI 2.
If the rate of speed of any vehicle Llhile traveling
in a school zone shall exceed fifteen (15) miler per hour, such
rate of speed shall be prima facie evidence of unreasonable
and improper driving, and it shall be unla,.�ful for any person
to operate a vehicle at a speed in excess of that rate.
SECTION 3.
Any person, firm, company or corporation violatinZ
the nrovisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof
be fined not less than Five Dollars nor more than Twenty Dollars
for each offense.
SEC TIO?I 4.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SEC TION 5.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
fro"! and after its adoption.
