SECTION 1.
That the City T.Ianager be, and he is hereby authorized
to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of one
(1) neer 1947, five (5) passenger four door automobile suitable
for use in the police department of the City of Paducah, police
car ,'6 which was wrecked in an accident on Auvust 31st, 1947
to be traded in on said neer automobile. The car to be purchased
shall be of the kind having a list price of not exceeding.
`;:'2000.00, and each bidder shall submit the amount which will be
allowed by taking in on the trade the aforesaid police car r6.
[To bid shall be considered unless it contains the written agree-
ment of the dealer that said automobile, if purchased, shall be
delivered .,,-ithin a period of thirty (30) days from the date of
purchase.
SECTION 2.
The City Tanager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the city hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun- Democrat.
The notice shall be posted and published at least seven days
prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within
ten da,,rs from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No
bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be
received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of
bids, All bids received by the City idanager up to the time fixed
in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who
may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Loard
of Comnias Toners shall reserve the right to reject any and all
bids and the city shall not become legally obligated to purchase
said automobile until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing
the execution of a contract.

SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
