A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS OF DRAFTSMEN FOR THE REPRODUCTION OF THE PLAT. BOOKS IN THE
OFFICE OF THE CITY ENGINEER FOR USE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY
ASSESSOR, AND PROVIDING THE MANNER IN WHICH SAID BIDS SHALL BE
RECEIVED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIOITERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION ONE
That the City 16anager be, and he is hereby authorized to ad-
vertise for the bids of draftsmen to make a new set of plat books
showing all property within the City of Paducah subject to taxatio
said plat books to be made by making a copy of and reproducing all
plats of property on file in the office of the City Engineer,
the same to be used in the office of the City assessor.
SECTION TWO
The City Manager shall advertise for bids by posting notice
up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one issue of the Sun Democrat. The notice
shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to
the opening, of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10)
days from the date of the adoption of this resolution. No bid
shall be received unless it is under seal, nor shall any bid be
received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of
bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed
in the notice shall be filed with the board of Commissioners who
may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board
of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all
bids and the City shall not become legally liable under a contract
until such contract has been executed pursuant to an ordinance
authorizing its execution.
SECTION THREE
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
