HMEA:3, the '::alker Boat Yards Company has submitted its
onplication for e:eraption from municipal taxation on its business
and ranufactiz•in- -roporties located on tho river front between
Jackson anc Ohio :streets in the City of Paducah, ::3ntucky; and
ir, appearing from paid application that the shops,
ways and boat repair:inC building located upon the -above described
property is onned by said company which will be engaged in the
business of building and repairin- boats and will have an
approximate payroll of 1;35,000.00 per annum; and

the business of the 7.'alker moat Yards Company is a new and bona fi
manufacturin establishment, and under the Statutes of the Common-
wealth of :`entucky and the ordinances of the City of Paducah, said
company is entitled to ^.xemption from municipal taxation for a peric
of five (5) years as an inlucemont to the operation of its •-lant in
the city;

That the business of thvf':.alker Eoat Yards Company located
on the river front between Jac,tson and Ohio Streets, and all of the
shops, ways and boat repair buildings owned by said company at that
location and used in connection with the building and repairing of
boats be exempt from the payment to the City of Paducah of all
license -taxes and ad valorem taxes with the exception of taxes due
and payable for school purposes, for a period of five (5) years,
the exemption from the payment of license taxes to be. -in as of
July 1st, 1947, and the exemption from the payment of ad valorem
tares to be.,in :with the assessment :,hich will become due in the
,rear 1949.

This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its aC'.•option.
