SEC TI OI! 1.
That the City 1,:anager be, and he is hereby authorized and em-
powered to employ a Deputy Treasurer to be attached to the City
Ireasurer's office and to serve as an assistant in said office,
said deputy to be known as the "Deputy Treasurer, in Charge of
rurchases and the Collection of Delinquent Licenses and Taxes".
!','hen authorized Icy the City i.ana-er, it shall be the duty
of said deputy treasurer to approve or masse all purchases of the
supplies and materials used by the various departments and official
of the city. It shall also be his duty to collect all license and
ad valorem taxes which have become delinquent, to assist the City
Assessor in the establishment of a system for the assessing of
personal property not listed for taxation purposes pursuant to the
provisions of TRS 52.430, and to perform such other duties as may
be required of him by either the City Manager or the City
Treasurer.
SEC TIC:! 2.
The person appointed to serve as Deputy Treasurer in charge c
purchases and the collection of delinquent license and taxes shall
execute an official bond to the Cit;, of laducah in the form and in
the 7encral terms of other official bonds, in the sum of Tao
Thousand (.2,000.00) Dollars, the same to be conditioned upon the
faithful performt,nce of his duties and the faithful accounting of
all funds coming into his hands or under his control. He shall
be paid for his services a salary in the sum of :.;175.00 per month,
said salary to be paid to hire at the same time and in the some
manner as other employees are paid.
SEC T10I; 3.
There is hereby a,propriated the sum of .;875.60 for payment
of the salary of the aforesaid Deputy Treasurer for the remainder
of the year 1947, said sum to be charged to the Contingent :und.

This 0 dinance shall bs in full force and effect on and
after Aucuot 1, 1917.
