A RESOLUTION EXEMPTING FROM MUNICIPAL TAY,ATION FOR A PERIOD
OF FIVE (5) YEARS 7FIE MANUFACTURING BUSINESS AND PROPERTIES OF THE
MODINE YANUFAC TURING COIs;PANY LOCATED AT 31ST AND JACKSON STREETS I1
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, I{ENTUCIY.
WHEREAS, the iodine Manufacturing Company has submitted its
application for exemption from municipal taxation on its business
and manufacturing properties located at 31st and Jackson Streets ir.
the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, it appearing from said application that the real
estate at that address is owned by said Company which will manu-
facture principally truck, tractor and passenger car radiators; and
WHEREAS, it further appearin.m from said application that the
plant of the Kodine Manufacturing Company is a new and bona fide
manufacturing establishment, and under the statutes of the Commonwe
alth of Kentucky and the ordinances of the City of Paducah, said
applicant is entitled to exemption from municipal taxation for a
period of five (5) years as an inducement to the operation of said
manufacturing plant in the City of Paducah;

OF 7HE CITY OF PADUCAH, K;NTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the business of the Modine Manufacturing Company, locate
at 31tit amd Jackson ,Streets in the City of Paducah, -Kentucky, all
real estate now owned by said company at that location, and all
manufacturing properties used in connection with the manufacturing
of truck, tractor and passenger car radiators, as well as other
heating equipment, be exempt from the payment to the City of Paduca
of all license taxes and ad valorem taxes, with the exception of th
taxes due and payable for school purposes, for a period of five (5)
years, the exemption from license taxes to begin on July 1st, 1947,
and the exemption from ad valorem taxes to begin with the assess-
ments which would become due in the year 1948.
SECTIOII 2.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
ifter its adoptchon.
