AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
CITY PLA;;VING AMID ZONING COM14I63ION PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE OLD MAYFIELD ROAD FRO::, DIVISION STREET
TO 30TH STREET FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES; AND PRESCRIBING THE
PENALTY TO BE IMPOSED FOR VIOLATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS SET FORTH
IN A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COTX.,I6SION
ON MARCH 20th, 1944.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That upon the recommendation and request of the
City Planning and Zoning Commission as s,rown by its final report
embodied in a resolutioh adopted by it on I.:arch 20th, 1944, all of
the property on the East side of the Old Mayfield Road; extending
back for a depth of 165 feet, from Division Street to 30th Street
is -hereby declared to be a residential district within the meaning
of the City Planning and Zoning Commission Law and to be used for
residential purposes only.
SECTION 2.
In order to further promote the general welfare of
the people in said district or zone and to enhance the desirabilit
of same, all property within said area is subject to the followinE
restrictions:
1. That all of said property shall be residential
property and no business houses be permitted therein.
2. That no residence be permitted to be constructdd
that will cost less than •'"2000.00.
SECTION 3.
Any property owner, tenant or other person who
erects, constructs or reconstructs any building in violation of or
contrary to the aforesaid provisions of this ordinance, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall
be fined in any stun not less than w10.00 nor more than '100.00
for each offense so committed and each day such offense is committ
shall be deemed a separate offense and shall be subject to a
separate penalty under the provisions hereof, or the person so
offending or so guilty of violation of the provisions hereof, may,
addition to such fine be imprisoned.not more than fifty (50) days
at the %incretion of t'ne Judge or Jnry trying the case.

SECTION 4.
` This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
