A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE 11 -OR
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE AND OIL TO BE USED BY THE CITY
OF PADUCAH IN ALL OF ITS GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS FOR A PERIOD OF
FOUR MONTHS BEGINNING FEBRUARY 15th, 1944
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COP.MISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCILY:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized and!
empowered to advertise for bids for the purchase of gasoline and

oil to be used by the City of Paducah in all of its governmental
operations for a period of four (4) months beginning February 15th,;
1944. IIe will advertise for regular gasoline and also for both �

premium and first grade motor oil, sealed in drums, by notice posted
up at the city hall door and by inserting notice of the request ford
bids in at least one issue of the Sun-Democrat.)XIThe notide shall

p published at least seven days prior to the opening of;
bids and no bid shall be opened within teh (10) days from the date I
on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received
after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All j
bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Board of Commission!-
ers who may let the bid to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders!.

The right shall be reserved to reject any and all bids and all bids,
shall provide a guarantee against advance in the morket price, and
also of a reduction in price in -the event of a decrease in the
market price of gasoline and oil.
