HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 10, Page 92, No Resolution NumberPage `92 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE EXTENSIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS MAD BY THE PADUCAH WATER WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION UNDER DOCKET NO. KENTUCKY 1405-F WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the Paducah Water Works having submitted to the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah a resolution reciting that all work, included in P.W.A. Project, Docket No.Kentucky 1405-r^, consisting of Water Works Extensions and Improvements under two contracts as follows: - "CONTRACT NO.1 - With The Barnett & Record Company, Minneapolis, Minn. for laying 6496 ft. 16" cast iron water mains and 106 fto24" cast iron water mains, and appurtenances and con- nections to existing mains and removal of approximately 3880 ft.of existing 6" cast iron water mains and furnishing and installation of 2 orifice meters and appurtenances in existing mains," "CONTRACT NO.2 - With United States Pipe and Foundry Company, Biriningham, Ala., for furnishing cast iron pipe and fit- tings, Class B and Class 150 centrifugally cast pipe," "has been completed according to contract documents and the approved changes and carefully checked by a representative of the engineers, Alvord, Burdick & Howson, and the Assistant Resident Engineer Inspector of Public Works Administration, Walker K.Deller, and found to be satisfactory in every way," AND, WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the Paducah Plater Works having recommended the acceptance of said work; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COnISSION- ERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That all work included in the project of the Public 1`Iorks Administration designated in its Docket No.Kentucky 1405-F has bee fully performed and completed in accordance with the terms of the aforesaid contracts, and that the extensions and improvements made under and pursuant to said contracts be and the same are here- by approved and accepted by the City of Paducah. SECTION 2.
