AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE UNITED STATES OF
APdERICA, ITS OFFICER, ENGINEERS, AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES, TO ENTER
UPON THE LANDS ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR USE IN CONNECT-
ION WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEA WALL OR FLOOD PROTECTION WALL IN
SECTION "A", AND TO EXERCISE ALL RIGHTS AND PRIVIL GES GRAidTED TO
THE SAID fITY OF PADUCAH UNDER AND BY VIRTUE OF THE CONV,YANCES,
GRANTS AND EASEMENTS HERETOFORE ACQUIRT-D `Y SAID CITY FROM THE
OW11ERS OF THE LANDS OVER, AND THROUGH VMICH SAID SEA -':?ALL 011 !L`OD
PROTECTION WALL FALL BE CONSTRUCTED, AND AU7HORIZING THE MAYOR OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAIi TO EXECUTE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AN
AUTHORIZATION OF ENTRY AGREEMENT FOR THE PURPOSES HEREIN STATED.
W. ERE the City of Paducah will acquire by
conveyanceg,grants and easements and under judgments entered in
condemnation proceedings instituted in the PHcCracken Circuit Court,
all rights -of -f=ray and privileges necessary for the construction and
maintenance of a sea-wall or flood protection wall in Section "A",
as will be showh by plat of said sea-wall or flood protection wall
on file in the office of the United States En[,ineers in Paducah,
Kentucky, and in the office of the City Yanager; and,
','IHEREAS, the United States of America has agreed
to proceed with the construction of said sea-wall or flood protect-
ion wall upon the execution of an Authorization of Entry Agreement
by the duly authorized officers of the City of Paducah, granting
to the United States of America, its officers, engineers, agents
and employees the right to enter upon said right-of-way for the
purpose of constructing said sea-wall or flood protection wall,
NOL7, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISJIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the United States of America, its officers,
a`ents, engineers and employees are hereby authorized to enter upon
all lands acquired by the City of Paducah for use in connection with]

the construction of a sea-wall or flood protection wall in Section
"A", and to exercise all riChts and privileges under and by virtue
of the conveya.ces, grants and easements acquired by the City of
Paducah from owners of the lands over and through which said sea-
wall or flood protection wall in Section "A" will be constructed, inl
accordance with the plans and specifications as shown by plat on
file in the office of the United States Engineers in Paducah,
Kentucky, and in the office of the City Lanager of Paducah,Kentucky,'
and in the office of the City Manager of Paducah, Kentucky.

SECTION 2.
That Edgar T. Washburn, I,:ayor of the City of Paducah,
be and he is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of
said city, an Authorization of Entry Agreement, granting unto the
United States of America, its officers, enineers, agents and
employees the rights and privileges as provided under Section 1
of this ordinance.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from anc
after its adoption.
