That all of the property on both sides of 9th Street from. the South property line of Kentucky Avenue to the South property line of Adams Street, escludin�: intersection at Claris Street in the City of Paducah, PcCrac'cen County, Kentucky, as shorn by estimates on file in the 2n7ineer's office in the City call in the City of Paducah, Ky., be and the same is hereby assessed for the cost of construction of said paved street cath all necessary curbs, gutters, driveways, ! i manholes, inta'r_es, catch basins, sez:er and drain pipes and all necessary engineering, equipment, advertising and legal and clerical !services in connection thorerrith, the portion of said cost of im- provement required to be paid by said property owners shall be the I following amount per front foot, to -writ: Total cost against the propert,, owners between Kentucky i:venue and `;lashington Street is 2.05 per front foot for street paving,; between Washington Street and Adams Street •1.90 par Front foot for street paving; all curbs scall be ,0.30 per linear foot; all gutters shall be ;,0.20 per linear foot; all driveways shall be ,,;O.12 per square moot; and all of said estimates are on file in the office of the _ngineering De,a rt- ment in the City iIall, and are referred to and made a part hereof. I li SEC TION 2, I i That one-half of said assessments as a,ainst each lot as d snor:n by said assessment and estimate of said Engineer was due at lithe commencement of said work and has heretofore been assessed, andl lIl the Board of Commissioners having by this ordinance deter:ained that i !said work has been half completed an' Lhe last half of said assess Invent is now due to be paid, said last half shall be paid within 1Iten (10) days after the adoption of this ordinance and unless so I!paid there shall be added thereto a penalty of 6; and a lien is I i declared to exist upon said lots and parcels of real estate 'or thel (proportionate cost of said improvements so assessed as heroin liprovided in addition to the assessment for the first half of the licost thereof as hereinbefore made; and the amount of said assessment iIshall bear interest upon any part thereof that remains tul1�aid for ten (10) days after the same is due to be paid as herein ii provided at the rate of 65 per annum in addition to the penalty it ;';aforesaid, which lien shall be superior to all other liens c,cept the li ns for State, County and City taxes.
