II:"! AREAS, the Board of Commissioners has heretofore adopted
an ordinance providin.- for the construction and re construction of
said driveway under the terms of said act aforesaid, and pursuant

to its provisions; and,

IM1HEREAS, work on said improvement has been half completed
and hereby declared by the Board of Commissioners to have been
half completed on and before this date, and the estimated cost
thereof is now due to be paid to the City Treasurer, and the
first half thereof havi_n.,r been assessed at the time of commence-
ment of said work, and the last bald is due to be assessed when
the cork is half completed,

NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01.i-ISSION-iiS 0
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on oth sides of Ohio Street from the
Nest property line of 3rd Street to the East property line of 8th
Street, excludin.- intersections -at 4th, 5th and 6yh Streets in
the City cC Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, as shown by
estimates on file in the EnZineer's office in the City Hall in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, be and the same is hereby assessed for
the cost of construction of said paved street with all necessary
manholes, inta'ces, catch basins, server and drain pipes and all
Inecessary en;ineerin.,,, equipment, advertisin-; and le al and cleric

services in connection 'therewith, the portion of said cost of
improvement required to be paid by said property owners shall be
the following amount per front foot, to -wit:
Total cost azainst the property owners between 3rd and Sth Street
is t',2.15 per abutting foot; that all of said estimates are on file
in the office of the En,ineerin llepartment in the City Hall, and
are referred to and made a part hereof.
SECTIOPI 2.
That one-half of said assessment as a-,ainst each lot as shown
said assessment and estimate of said enineer was due at the
commencement of said work and has heretofore been assessed, and
the Board of Commissioners having by this ordinance determined
that said work has been half completed and the last half of
said assessment is now due to be paid,s aid last halfshall be
paid within ten (10)d ays after the adoption of this ordinance
land unless so paid there shall be added thereto a penalty of 6''
land a lien is declared to exist upon said lots and parcels of
ii lreal estate .for the proportmonate cost of said improvements so

liassessed as herein provided in addition to the assessment for
lithe first half of the cost thereof as hereinbefore made; and th6
''amount of said assessment shall bear interest upon any part thereof
that remains unpaid for ten (10) days after the same is due to be
Paid as herein provided at the rate of 6� per annum in addition
to the penalty aforesaid, w hich lien shall be superior to
all other liens except the liens for State, County and City taxes.
SECTION 3.
The publication of this ordinance shall ',e notice to al.l pers

interested and due to pay said assessment, of the time and place
pay the same. Said assessment will be _paid within ten (10) days fr
the publication of this ordinance.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
