WHERL.AS, the Board of Commissioners has heretofore adopted an
ordinance providing for the construction and reconstruction of said
driveway under the terms of said Act aforesaid, and pursuant to its
oroviaions; and,
WHEREAS, work on said improvement has been half completed and
hereby declared by the Board of Commissioners to have been hald
completed on and befor e this date, and the estimated cost thereof
is now due to be paid to the City Treasurer, and the first hald
thereof having been assessed at the time of commencement of said vro k,
and the last hald is due to be assessed vrhen the work is half
completed,

That all of the property on both sides of 21st Street from
the ',.vest property line of "C" Street to the ':'lest property line of
the Old Mayfield Road in the City of Paducah, 1r7cCracken County,

Kentucky, as shown by estimates on file in the Engineer's Office
in the City Hall in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be and the same
is hereby assessed for the cost of construction of said
paved streejt
with all necessary curbs, butters, driveways, manholes, intakes,
catch basins, sewer and drain pipes and all necessary engineering,
equipment, advertising, and legal and clerical services in connection
therewith, the portion of said cost of improvement required to be
paid by said property owners shall be the followin, amount per front
foot; tO-Wit: Total cost against the property owners on 21st Streelt
lfrom "C" Street to the Old ; ayfield Road for Street Paving is i°;2.25'
per front foot; all driveways to be 12� per square foot; all curbs
to be 30p1 per linear foot; and all gutters to be 20¢ Per linear foot;
that all of said estimates are on file in the office of the En;ineer-
in, Department in the City Ball, and are referred to and made a oart
II hereof.
SECTION 2,
That one-half of said assessment as against each lot as
shown by said assessment and estimate of said Engineer was due at
the commencement of said work and has heretofore been assessed, and
the Board of Commissioners havin;; by this ordinance determined that
said work has been half completed and the last hall of said assess-
ment is now due to be paid, said last half shall be paid within ten
(10) days after the adoption of this ordinance and unless so paid
there shall be added thereto a penalty of 6% and a lien is declared
to exist upon said lots and parcels of real estate for the propor-
tionate cost of said improvements so assessed as herein provided in
addition to the assessment for the first half of the cost thereof .as
hereinbefore made; and the amount of said assessment shall bear
interest upon any part thereof that remains unpaid for ten (10) days
after the same is due to be paid as herein provided at the r ate of
6'/o per annum in addition to the penalty aforesaid, which lien sha171
be superior to all other liens except the liens for State, County IInd
City taxes.
SECTION 3. 1
The publication of this ordinance shall be notice to all
persons interested and due to pay said assessment, of the time and
place to pay the same. Said assessment will be paid within ten (10i
days from the publication of this ordinance.

SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
