ADOPTION OF THIS ORDINANCE,
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has heretofore adopted

an ordinance providin; for the construction and reconstruction of
said driveway under the terms of said Act aforesaid, and pursuant
I
to its provisions; and,
',PHEREAS, work is now ready to begin on said construction!
and one-half of the estimated cost thereof is now due tiff be paid
the City Treasurer,

- — _ — SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides of Ohio Street from
the West property line of 3rd Street to the East property line of 0th
Street, excludinfS intersections at 4th, 5th and 6th Streets in the
City of Paducah, :bcCracken County, Kentucky, as shown by estimates
on file in the En,;ineers office in the City Hall in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be and the same is hereby assessed for the cost
of construction of said paved street with all necessary manholes,
intakes, catch basins, Sevier and orain pipes and all necessary
enSineer n-, equipment, advert-sin3 and legal and clerical serv'ces
in connection therewith, the portion of said cost of improvement
required to be paid by said property owners shall be the followir_g
amount per front- foor; to -grit:
Total cost against the property ot-rners between 3rd and 0th Streets 's
4;2.15 per abuttin- foot; that a'1 of said estimates are on file in
the office of the En_ineerin� Department in the City Hall, and are
referred to and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2.
That one-half of said assessment as aSainst each lot as shot
by said assessment and estimate of said en;,ineer is now due and
unless paid within ten (10) days after thea doption of this ordi-
namce there shall be added thereto a penalty of 6o and a lien is
declared to exist upon said lots and parcels of real estate for the
portion of cost of said improvement so assessed as hereten provided,
and the amount of said assessment shall bear interest upon any par
thereof that remains unpaid for ten (10) days after same is due to
be paid at the rate of 6o per annum in addition to the penalties
aforesaid, which lien shall be superior to all other liens except
the lien for State, County and City taxes.
SECTION 3.
The publication of this ordinance shall be notice to all

persons interested and due to pay said assessment, of the time and
place to pay the'same. Said assessment :;ill be paid one-half with':
ten (10) days from the publication of this ordinance, and the othe
one-half will be paid when the Board of Commissioners shall declar
by ordinance or resolution, that said work and said improvement
IIhas veen one-half completed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
