AN ORDINANCE FURTHER DEFINING AND PROHIBITING NUISANCES
AFFECTING THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE OF THE CITIZENS OF PADUCAH,
AND PROVIDING PENALTC FOR A VIOLATION HEREOF
BE IT ORDAYNED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISS.ONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
A nuisance is anything whatsoever that is dangerous to
human health or whatever renders the ground, water, air or food a
hazard or injury to the health: The following specific acts,
conditions and things are each and all of them hereby prohibited and
made unlawful and as such are liable to be abated, and any person
or persons, firm, company or corporation guilty of causing or
permitting or suffering them upon any premises or in any building
occupied or controlled by him, them or it, either as owner or
tenant, or in any street or alley, sidewalk or gutter immediately
adjacent to such premises, is liable upon conviction to be fined
as hereinafter prescribed:
(a) Sweeping or depositing at any time upon, in or over the
sidewalk, street or other public way from any building, yard,
property or premises adjoining such sidewalk, street or public way
of rubbish, trash, paper, dust or any other foul, filtAy, offensive,
nauseous or injurious substance in the area of said city designated
as the fire limits and bounded as follows:
"Beginning at low water mark in the Ohio River at
the center of Clark Street, running arrest on the center
of Clark Street to the center of Seventh Street; thence
north on the center of Seventh Street to the center of
Pdadison Street to law water mark of the Ohio River;
thence with meanders of the Ohio River at lord water
mark to point off beginning."
(b) Dumping or pouring into any street, alley or other public
way or into any city sewers of oil, tar, asphalt, or any foul, filthy,
offensive or injurious liquid or substance, or burning of paper,
rubbish, trash, leaves or any other waste matter in any street,
alley or public way of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2.
ii
Any person, firm, company or corporation who shall cause, create,
permit, keep or otherwise maintain a nuisance as described herein,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall
be fined in any sum not itore than $100.00, and each day that said
nuisance shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby r epealed.

SECTION 4.
This ordinance ghall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
