OP.STTED PROPERTY, AND PRESCRIBING THE TLKh,!S AND CONDITIONS TO BE
CONTAINED IN SAID CONTRACT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COldilISSIONEhS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, JE NTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City %anager be and he is hereby authorized to
enter into and execute for and on behalf of the City of Paducah a
contract with an Attorney for the collection and recovery by suit
of any taxes which may be due the City of Paducah upon omitted
property. Said Attorney shall institute and prosecute such suits
as may be necessary to recover taxes upon property omitted from
assessments, and subject to taxation b�, the City of Paducah for any

and all of the past five (5) years. The compensation for his �
services shall be an amount equal to one-third of whatever 'taxes,

penalties and interest are actually recovered by him or through
j
proceedings instituted or prosecuted by him for the City of Paducah;
but the rate of compensation shall attach only to the taxes, interest
and penalties and that part of same which belongs to the city and
form a part of its revenue and income, but shall not attach to any
taxes, penalties and interest recovered for,the benefit of the
Board of Education or the Sinking Funds, or for any other
independent or separate purposes where the city itself is required'
to collect and pay over such tares for such independent agencies

or purposes.
Said Attorney shall each thirty (30) days after his
employment hereunder render an itemized statement of all cases
and claims on which he is contemplating the commencement of

actions or proceedings for assessment of property or recovery
i
of taxes, which report shall show the name and residence of each
person, firm or corporation claimed to be liable for such taxes,
i
and which statement shall be verified under oath. ;,hen said
i
statement is received the same shall become and be a public
record and be filed with the Roard of Commissioners and a copy �
furnished to the City Assessor.

Any employment as authorized herein may be terminated by
the City i,ananer at any time, but such termination shall not
• affect the right of the Attorney so employed to such compensation
as may be due upon all items or taxable property in any action
or proceeding commenced by him prior to the termination of his
contract of employment.

SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall be in full force an•! effedt from
and after its adoption.
