JAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORI% NANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORII NANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
'AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLASSIFYING AND LICE14SING OF
VEHICLES PLYING THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDCNANCE', WHICH
WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COI1MISSIONERS ON DECEMBER.�.OTH, 1937,
AND AMENDED ON JULY 5, 1940.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COh�IISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SEC.^LIOI`T 1.
That Section 2 of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE CLASSIFYING ARID LICENSING OF VEHICLES PLYING
THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE', ITIHICH WAS ADOPTED
BY THE BOARD OF COP+IISTSSIONERS ON DECE13BER 30th, 193711, and
amended on July 5, 1940, be and the same is hereby amended so that
said section as amended shall -reas as follows:
"Section 2 - Each and every such person, corporation or
company owning or operating a motor veYiicle in the City of Paducah,
shall immediately upon the acquirement thereof, make application
to the City Treasurer of the City of Paducah for licensing thereof,
and shall furnish to said city Treasurer the name and address of
the owner thereof, the name of the motor vehicle, the capacity
or tonnage rating thereof, and the number of the license
furnished said owner by the State of Kentucky.
All license fees imposed, levied and collected from both
resident and non-resident operators of automobiles and moter
vehicles under the provisions of this ordinance shall be paid into
and become a part of the General Fund, the same to be used for the
purpose of paying the expenses of maintaining the city government.
The first licenses issued to non-resident operators of
automobiles and motor vehicles shall be for a period of five (5)
months beginning August 1st, 1940, the license fee being in an
amount equal to one-half of the fee now charged to all resident
operators for the entire year, and said license shall thereafter
be issued beginning January 1st, 1941 for the same fees and the
same period of time as all other motor vehicle licenses are issued."
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in confilitt herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.

SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of
the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for not less than
one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage, and upon its adoption it
shall be in full force and effect on and after August 1, 1940.
