A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE SALE AT PUBLIC

AUCTION OF ALL UNCLt.I"'.ED BICYCLES, AUTOMOBILE PARTS, CIGARETTES
AND ALL OTHER ARTICLES OF MISCELLANEOUS MERCHANDISE AND PROPERTY
OF VALUE CONFISCATED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS UNDER VMICH SAID PROPERTY
SHALL BE SOLD I

SECTION 1.
I - _
That after any property seized by the Police
Department, including bicycles, automobile parts, cigarettes
and any other miscellaneous articles and merchandise of value,
shall remain unclaimed ffor a period of six (6) months, the City
I;:anager is hereby authorized to sell the same to the highest
bidder at public auction. Before proceeding with the sale of
such property, the City L:an ager shall a dvertise the time, terms
and place thereof by posting upon the City Hall door a written
notice of such sale for at least ter. (10) days preceeding the
date of sale. In addition thereto he shall advertise the time,
terms and place of sale by inserting notice thereof, together

with a description_ of the property to be sold in the Sun Democrat
for at least three (3) days next preceeding the date of sale.
SECTIO.; 2.
The acceptance of any and all bids shall be subject)
to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, and no sale shall
j be effective unless and until it is confirmed by said Board.
II
If confirmed, the purchase price :for said property shall be
paid in cash.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be. in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
