AN ORDINANCE.REDUCING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH BY

STRIKING OFF CERTAIN TERRITORY O'l,NED BY FLE'ICHER TERRELL ON NORTH I
8TH STREET IN SAID CITY, AND ACCURATELY DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES
OF SUCH TERRITORY STRICKEN OFF HEREBY
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted on the 26th day of March,'
1940, the City of Paducah, by and through its Board of Commissioners
proposed to reduce its boundaries by striking off certain territory,
owned by Pletcher Terrell on North Sth Street in said city; and,
WHEREAS, said ordinance declaring the desirability of reducing
the boundaries as therein proposed has been published in ten (10)
issues of the official newspaper of said city; and,
I WHEREAS, a period of thirty (30) days having elapsed
since the enactment of the aforesaid ord-Inance, and no petition
having been filed in the McCracken Circuit Court protesting
against the reduction of the city limits as provided under Section
3051 of the Kentucky Statutes
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0104ISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the following described ground or territory
embraced within the present corporate limits of the city of Paduca
be, and the same is hereby excluded therefrom, and that the line
of the corporate limits on North 8th Street be re -located by
striking off all of the lands owned by said Fletcher Terrell,
the same being more particularly described and defined as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Northerly side of North 8th
Street at the Southwest corner of a tract of land owned
by B.B.Hook; thence in a Westwardly direction and along
the North line of North Sth Street a distance of 2363.64
feet, more or less to the Westerly line of the land owned
by Fletcher Terrell; thence North 5 degrees East 4560 feet
to the Ohio River; thence in an Easterly direction and with
the meanderings of the Ohio River to the West property line c
J.T.Kibler; thence in a Southwardly direction and along the
West property line of J.T.Kibler and B.B.Hook 2900.31 feet
to the point of beginning on North Sth Street.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
