A RESOLUTION Air -ENDING SECTION 2 OF A RESOLUTION ENTITLED:
"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND ENiPO', ERING JAMES P. SMITH, CITY i.AIdAGER,
TO RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIHE HOSE AND SMIT IdCITSSARY
PRESC IBI FOR USE IN THE FIRE DEPARTN,IENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND
PRESCRIBING THE NriANNER IN 7,UICH SUCH BIDS SHALL BE RECEIVED", PIHICH

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C01"IMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Section 2 of a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING AND EivrF07ERING JA'';ES P. SMITH, CITY IukNAGER, TO RECEIVE BIDS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE HOSE AND OTHER NECESSARY ERUIP!,ENT FOR USE IN
THE FIRE DEPARTi;'ENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE IMANNSR
IN 77HICH SUCH ",IDS SHALL BE RECESVED" which was adopted by the Board
Of Commissioners on January 10th, 1940, be amended so that said
Section as amended will read as follows:
"Section 2. For the purpose oi' carrying into effect this

Resolution, the City Manager is authorized and directed to advertise
for and accept all bids under seal, and v;hich bids shall not be opened
I
until 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the day set for receiving such bids, or at
such other hour as may be determined for receiving and opening bids;
and all of said sealed bids or proposals shall be filed by the City
Tanager with his report and recommendation. No bid shall be received
after the hour fixed for opening same. The City Manager shall advertise
in such manner as may be deemed advisable for receipt of bids, and the
opening of bids shall not occur within three (3) days from the date
of such advertising."
SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
