IN THE 1.IcCRAC1.'EN CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAVING SAI
STREET AND ALLEYS LEGALLY CLOSED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIJ:iISSIONERS OF TIE: CITY OF
PADUCAH:
SECTION 1.
That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of
that portion of Clinton Court shown on the plat of the property of
Smith & Helfer, Shelton and part of Bradshaw's Country Club Additij
to Paducah, Kentucky, prepared by Harry G. Davis, Surveyor, in
October, 1946, and also two alleys as shown b.r said plats, which
street and alleys are more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east side of 31st Street 264.02
feet north of the northeast corner of the intersection of 31st
and Jackson Street; thence in an easterly direction and parallel
with Jackson Street 440.9' more or less, to the west line of a
25 foot alley, thence in a southerly direction 25 feet from
and parallel vrith the west right of way line of the P. and I,(
Railroad 272.42 feet to the north property line of Jackson
Street; thence in an easterly direction and with the north
property line of Jackson Street 25.84 feet to the west right of
way line of the P. & I. railroad, thence in a northerly direc-
tion and with the viest right of way line of the P. & I. Railroe
300.82 feet to the center line of the old Clinton Road; thence
in a westerly direction and with said center line 199 feet;
thence in a northerly direction and parallel with 31st Street
15 1/2 feet, more or less. to the southeast corner of the
property formerly owned by Q. L. Shelton, thence in a westerly
direction and parallel with Jackson Street 270 feet to the east
property line of 31st Street; thence in a southerly direction
and with the east property line of 31st Street 50 feet to the
point of beginning.
Beginning on the easterly side of 31st Street 135 feet north
of the northeast corner of 31st and Jackson Streets; thence in
an easterly direction and parallel with Jackson Street 472.5
feet more or less to the west line of a 25 foot alley; thence i
a northerly direction and along the west line of said alley 15
feet; thence in a westerly direction and parallel with Jackson
Street 440.9 feet more or less to the east line of 31st Street;
thence in a southerly direction and with the east line of 31st
Street; thence in a southerly direction and with the east line
of 31st Street 15 feet to the point of beginning.
and the Corporation Counsel is hereby directed to institute in the
LicCracken Circuit Court a suit for the purpose of carrying ti.e
provisions of this ordinance into effect.

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
