SECTl0N 1.
That upon the recommendation and request of the
City planning and=•onin,; Commission as shown by its final
report embodied in a resolution adopted by it on i�T,ovember
24, 1939 on property within the Pace Addition to the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, bounded on the South by the property of
VI.A.Schmidt, on the ,-est by the property of L:artin Yopp,
on the North by 29th Street and on the East by the :'ayfield
Road and the J.H.Schmidt property, is hereby declared to
be an exclusive residential district within the meanin-- of
the C'ty Plannin.g and Zonin; Commission Latin and to be used
for residential purposes, and no business house or business
shall be permitted within said area or zone.
SECTION 2.
In order to further pronote the 3eneral :,elfare
of the people in said district or zone and to enhance the
desirability of said residential area or zone it shall be un-
lawful for any person to construct or cause to be constructed
within 'said area or zone any residence buildin that ve-ill be
of less value or cost than TWo Thousand Five Hundred ("x2500.00)
Dollars.
SECTION 3.
Any property ormer, tenant or other person who
erects, constructs or reconstructs any buildin-- in violation
of or contrary to the aforesaid provisions of this ordinance,
shall be doomed guilty of a disdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined in any sum not less t':ian ":10.00 nor
more than ;:100.00 for such offense so committed, and each day

such offense is commi.tted shall be deemed a separate offense
and shall be subject to a separate penalty under the provisions
hereof, or the person so offendinl- or so �uilt;r of violation
of the provisions hereof, may, in addition to such fine be
imprisoned not more than fifty (50) days at the dis&retion
of the Jude or Jury trying the case.
SECTIOP; 4.
This ordinance shall b e in fiull force and effect
from and after its adoption: n
