SUGG, JR., TIIE AUSTIN-NEST.ERN DISTRIBUTOR, FOR THE SALE OF A PATROL SWEEPER TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KE_,TUCI.Y, PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY NINE AND 07/100 ('x4579.07) DOLLARS FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE FOR SAID SWEEPER, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EATER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF; WHEREAS, under a resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 14, 1946, the City Manager was authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of a street sweeper, and notices of the request for bids were advertised pursuant to the provisions of said resolution; and, WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the City !tanager on May 28, 1946, and said bids having been received and filed by the Board of Commissioners and it appearing that the bid of John A. Sugg, Jr. for a patrol sweeper with equipment attached should be accepted; iIO✓ THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMIYISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of John A. Sugg, Jr. the Austin -Western distributor in the sum of Four Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-nine and 07/100 ($4579.07) Dollars for the following described street sweeper: Patrol Sweeper, Equipped Standard with: Front Tires -Dual 6.00 x 6 ply Rear Tires -7.00-20 x 10 ply Regular Tubes Throughout Electric lights and starter 17 Gallon Fuel Tank Extra Rear Broom Extra Disc for Gutter Broom Extra '✓lire to fill one Disc Approximate Shipping 11eight Price F.O.B. Paducah yr4579.07 SECTION 2. The sum of Four Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-nine and 07/100 (y4579.07) Dollars is hereby appropriated for payment for the aforesaid sweeper, the amount thereof to be charged to the fund appropriated to the Street Department under the Apportionment ordinance for the year 1946. 0 II 3ECTIO14 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah a contract for the purchase of the above described street sweeper provided said contract contains such covenants 1405 and conditions which the City P:;anager may wish to impose for the protection of the interest of the city. 3LCTI0?I 4.
