ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF 'PANT: TRUCKS USED

CERTAIN STREETS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH tfi::4UCKY, AND FIXING TIE
PENALTY FOR VIOL4TING THE PROVISIONS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO-MMISSIONF.RS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
As used in this ordinance, a "tank truck" shall mean any
motor operated truck used for the transportation of gasoline or
other inflamnible liquid from one bulk plant to another, and which
for such purposes is provided with a tank or tanks mounted on the
frame, chassis or bed of such vehicle, but shall not include a
motor truck commonly referred to as a "Tank Vlagon" used for the
delivery of gasoline or other inflamnible liquid to fillinZ stations.
SECTION 2.
It shall be unlawful for the operator of a tank truck to
drive the same into, upon or over any street, alley or other public(s�,�G
way located within that area of the City of Paducah bounded on &/a /for 139r'
the South by the North line of Clark Street, on the West by the
East line of Ninth Street, on the North by the South line of Madiso
Street, and on the East by the Ohio River. la
SECTION 3.
Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance sha
be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be
Punishable by a fine of not less than X5.00, and not more than
61100.00, or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period of not
exceeding fifty (50) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.

DOLLARS FOR 'ME USE AND BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEN'T'UCKY,

AND TO EXECUTE A NOTE OR 'NOTES FOR SAID SUPE. OR SUMZ FOR AND ON

BEHALF OF SAID CITY, AVD TO ?LhDGE THE REVENUES OF 'THE CITY FOR '["_-IE
FIRST ONE-HALF OF THE YEAR 1946 AS SECURITY THEREr'OR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE bOA!iD OF CO ;.ISSION RS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The Mayor and City Treasurer are hereby authorized and
directed to borrow on behalf of and for the use and benefit of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, from any bank, banks or trust companies
organized or existing under the laws of the State of Kentucky, or o
the United States of America, or any of the states or territories
thereof, persons, firms, or associations, not exceeding Fifty
Thousand (850,000.00) Dollars to bear interest at the rate of not
exceeding (3) Three per per annum; and said sum so borrowed
to be placed in the General Fund of said City, and said money
being for the purpose of taking care of existing and current
obligations of said city and to meet the immediate demands against
the city.
SECTION 2.
A note or notes shall be executed for such loan or loans,
which shall bear the signature of the City of Paducah by the Mayor
and City Treasurer of said city. Such note or notes shall bear
Interest as prescribed in the first section hereof and shall be made
in such amounts and for such lengths of time as may be determined
by the Payor and City Treasurer. There is hereby pledged as
security for such note or notes hereby authorized to be executed
or any renewals thereof, all of the revenues to be collected by
the City of Paducah from taxes for the fiscal half year ending
June 30th, 1946.
.SECTION 3.
On account of the fact that there are numerous obligations
and bills now due and unpaid owing by the City of Paducah, and on
account of the further fact that there is insufficient money in the
treasury with which to meet said obligations and available therefor,
and said funds are necessary for the protection of the public healt!
and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this or-
dinance shall take effect from and after its adoption.
