PO 800 AN ORDINANCE APPROVI:iG THE FINAL REPORT CF T E CITY PLANNING AND r'DNING COLC.:ISSION PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ADJOINING TEE PACE ADDITION IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BOUNDED ON THE NORTH �Y 28TH STREET, ON THE EAST rt?D SOUTH BY !:IAYFIELD ROAD AND ON THE VIEST BY GEORGIA STREET, AS A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OR ZONE AND PRE - _•SCRIBING ME PENALTY TO BE LY POSED FOR VIOLATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS ShT FORTH IN A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY TSE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION ON OCTOBER 29, 1939. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI.],.ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That upon the recommendation and reeuest of the city Planning and Zoning Commission as shown by its final r6port embodied in a Resolution adopted by it on October 29, 1939, on property adjcining the Pace Addition to the City of Paducah, bounded on the North by 28th 'Street, on the East and South by the T.Iayfield Road and on the west by Georgia Street, is hereby declared to be an exclusive residential district within the meaning of the City Planning and Zoning Commission Law and to be used for residential purposes, and ho business house or buinsess shall be permitted within said area or zone. SECTION 2. In order to promote the general welfare of the people in said district or zone and to enhance the desirability of said residential zone or area it shall be unlawful for any person to construct or permit to be constructed within said zone or area any residence building that will be of less value or cost than I%jo Thousand (.x2000.00 ) Dollars. SECTION 3. Any property owner, tenant or other person who erects, constructs or reconstructs any building in violation of or contrary to the aforesaid provisions of this ordinance, shall be deemed duilty of a misdemeanor,a nd upon conviction there- of shall be fished in any sum not less than �r10.00 nor more than N100.00 for each offense so committed, and each day such offense is committed shall be deemed a separate offense and shall be subject to a separate penalty under the provisions hereof, or the person so offending or so guilty of violation of the provisions hereof, may in addition to such fine be imprisoned not more than fifty (50) days at the discretion of the Judge cr Jury trying the case.
