CONSTRUCTION OF A SECTION OF BROADWAY FROTr SEVENTLENTH STREET TO
T.�ENTY-FIFTH STRt;ET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KhI?TUCKY, AND
PRESMIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE CON'T'AINED THEREIN
i'tfiEREAS, for the purpose fo reconstructing a section of
Broadway from Seventeenth Street to Twenty -Fifth Street in the Cit
of Paducah, Kentucky, the Department of Highways of the Common•,
of Kentucky has agreed to participate to the extent of bearing
costs thereof not to excees Ten Thousand (110,000.00) Dollars,
provided the City of Paducah will enter into an agreement con-
taining the following covenants:
"The City agrees to furnish all rights of way, to perform
or cause to be performed all work and the furnishing of all
materials in connection with the construction of the street.
The City further agrees to provide or make provisions with others
for all costs in excess of ;;10,000.00 and to maintain or by agreerr
with others provide for the maintenance of said street.
"This agreement shall be binding upon the parties hereto,
their successobs or assigns".
AND, VJHEREAS, the City of Paducah has made provision with the
Works Progress Administration_ to furnish, without expense to said
city, a:.l costs in excess of Ten Thousand (110,000.00) Dollars
for the work to be performed and materials furnished in
connection with the reconstruction of said street;

OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Edgar T. ';dashburn, Kayor of the City of Padr..cah, be
authorized to sign and execute, for and on behalf of the City of
Paducah, an agreement under which the City of Paducah will bind
itself and become obligated to perform all of the aforesaid
covenants and conditions in consideration of the agreement of
the Department of Highways of the Co;cmonwealth of Kentucky
to bear that portion of the costs not to excees Ten Tnousand
(610,000.00) Dollars for reconstructing a section of Broadway
from Seventeenth Street to Twenty -Fifth Street in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky.

SECTION 2.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
