BE IT ORDAINED BY TIME BOARD OF COLS"'ISSIOIIERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
There is hereby created in the City of Paducah, the
office of Acting City i,anager, and the person appointed to said
position by the affirmative vote of a majority of the members of
the Board of Commipsioners, shall be authorized and empowered
to perform all of the duties of the City I,anager when he is
absent from the city or unable to attend to the duties of his
office, or on account of a vacancy which may be created by the
resignation or death of the city manager. He shall have power to
sign all checks and other documents required by law or by city
ordinance, and to perform such other'duties as may be required
of the city manager.
SECTION 2.
The actin.- city manager shall be selected solely
on the basis of his executive and administrative qualifications
and shall have the same qualifications required of a city manager
under the statutes relating to the City I;;anager Form of Sotrernment.
SEC TION 3.
The actin-, City Lanager shall execute bond in the penal
sum of 4'p*10,000.00 conditioned upon the faithful performance of his
duties. He shall be removable at any time a city manager may be
removed from office under the statutes relating to the City i,anage
Form of Government, and shall not receive any compensation for his
services.
SECTIOi7 d.
This ordinance shall be in full force aizi effect from and
after its adoption.
