A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY Il7ANAGER TO ADVERTISE
FOR EID:; FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE CITYIS REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT
FOR THE YEAR 1946 (APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 12 CARLOADS) TO BE USED IN
STREET CONSTRUCTION WORK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSEOIJERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City Iuanager be and he is hereby authorized
to advertise for bids for the purchase of the cityls requirement
of 1 - 2 - 3 M.C. Liquid Asphalt for the year 1946 (approximately
8 to 12 carloads). The bid price to be f.o.b. city track at
6th & Campbell Streets, Paducah, Kentucky, Asphalt to be delivered
as prdered in 6500 gallon tank cars equipped with steam coils to
heat, and said material must meet Kentucky State Highway
specifications. He is requested to advertise by posting a notice
at the City Ball door and by inserting notice of the request for
bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall
be posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening o
bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date
on which this resolution is adopted. Pio bid shall be received
after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All
bids received by the City i,:anager up to the time fixed in the notice
for the opening of bids shall be filed with the board of Commission-
ers who may let the bid to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders.
The right shall be reserved to reject any and all bids and all bid
shall provide a guarantee against advance in the market price, and
also of a reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the
market price.
SECTION 1.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
