AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF ED D. TREVATHAN AND
HIS 17IFE, OPHIE A. TREVATHAN, TO SELL TO TIIE CITY OF PADUCAH r OR TH
SUET OF ; 250.00 A LOT 80 FEET IA' IWDTH AND 107 FEET IN DEPTH II: TIIE EAR
OF THE LOT AT 1535 PARK AVENUE IN SAID CITY AND ADJOINING THE OAK
GROVE CEIJETERY, AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO SAID
PROPERTY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE WARD OF C0E4E4ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SEC TION 1.
That the City of Paducah accept the offer of Ed D.
Trevathan and his wife, Ophie A. Trevathan, to sell to said city
for the sum of ;;250.00 a certain lot or parcel of land lying
and being in the City of Paducah, EcCracken County, Kentucky,
described as follows, to -wit:
"Beginning 15 feet North of the Northwest
corner of a certain lot or parcel of land
and in the west line of said lot or parcel
of land, as extended, said lot fronting on
Park Avenue 39 feet and being the west lot
described in the deed of conveyance from
D.111.Fooks and his wife, Maggie D.Fooks, to
Ed D. Trevathan and his wife, Ophie A.
Trevathan, dated June 10, 1944 and of record
in Deed Book 227, page 340, in the I.icCracken
County Court Glerk's Office, said beginning
point being 165 feet North of the North property
line of Park Avenue; thence with the west line of
the aforesaid lot, as extended, and in a northerly
direction 107 feet to Tully !:venue; thence in an
Eastwardly direction 80 feet to the East line of
the Porteous tract; thence in a southerly directio.
and with the East line of the Porteous tract 120
feet to a point 165 feet from the north property
line of Park Avenue; thence at right angles and in
a westerly direction 78 feet to the point of
be7innin.-."
The amount of the purchase price for said property shall
be charged to the contingent fund upon the adoption of the appor-
tionment ordinance for the year 1946, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to accept a deed to said property, provided the present
owners are seized of a good and valid title, free and clear of all
liens and encumbrances and said property is with covenant of Generc
WArranty.
SEC TION 2.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
