PROPERTY LINE OF 13Th STREET TO THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF 14TH STREET, AND
7TH STREET FRO14 THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF OHIO STRELT TO THE NORTH
(PROPERTY LINE OF TENNESSEE STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
TO INSTITUTE All ACTION IN THE IAECRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF

RAVING THE SAI,1E CLOSED, AND HE SHALL JOIN IN SAID SUIT THE O'IJNERS OF THE
GROUND IN T2:2 SQUARE DIVIDED BY THAT PORTION OF HARRISON STREET AND 7TH
STREET TO BE CLOSED AS PROVIDED IIEREIN
ATIEREAS, under and by virtue of an ordinance heretofore!
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, a cooperation
agreement was entered into between the City of Paducah and the Paducah j
Municipal Housing Commission, said agreement providing that the City shall 1,
close and vacate any streets and alleys within the boundaries of the

projects sponsored by the Paducah Municipal Housing Commission in connect-
ion with its construction of new dwelling units for families of low
income, and the elimination bf unsafe and unsanitary dwelling units within
the city; and,
WHEREAS, under a letter dated March 252 1939 addressed
to the Hon. Edgar T. 'Mashburn, Ifiayor, and the Board of Commissioners of
the City of Paducah, the Paducah Idunicipal Housing Commission has request-
ed the passage of an ordinance closing the following streets and alleys:
On Project Ky-6-1
Beginning at a point, 13th & Clay Streets; thence with
the south line of Clay street, through 14th street;
thence with the east line of 14th street to the corner
of 14th & Madison; thence at left angles with the north
line of Iadison street to 13th & Madison street; thence
at left angles with the vest line of 13th street, Clay
street to the point of beginning."
On Project Ky-6-2
"From the S.W.Corner of 8th & Ohio with the east line of
8th street to the N. line of Tennessee St; thence with
the N. line of Tennessee St. to the E. Line of the alley
between 7th ane 6th streets; thence with the west line of
alley to the S. line of Ohio St; thence with the S. line
of Ohio St. to the point of beginning."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTTION 1.
That Harrison Street from the west property line of
13th street to the East property line of 14th street, and 7th street from
the south property line of Ohio street to the North property line of
Tennessee street be closed, and the Corporation Counsel is hereby ordered
and directed to immediately institute suit in the McCracken Circuit Court
for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this ordinance,
and closing said streets in accordance with the request of the Paducah
Municipal Housing Commission. And he shall join in said suit the owners
of the ground in the snuare didided by that portion of Harrison street and
7th Street to be closed as provided herein.

SECTIDN 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinance in con-
flic.b herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
