SEC TION 1.
That Section 2 of an ordinance entitled:

CONFLICT TiEREfJITH", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioner
on September 29th, 1936 and amended on Larch 30th, 1943, be and the
same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read
as follo,:-s :
"Section 2. The rank and position of therolice Department
and their salaries, provided said salaries are not changed by the
annual apportionment ordinances hereinafter adopted shall be as
follows:

"'uglifications for all men for the Iolice Department
shall be as follows: The a. plicant must be twenty -taro (22) years
of age and not over forty (40) years of age. He must be able to
exhibit a certificate or a Sworn statement of a teacher of the
public schools that he has completed the eiChth grade. He must be
I qualified voter of the city and able to pass an "A 1" physical
,amination and furnish references from five (5) reputable citizens
