That upon the recommendation and request of the City Planning and Zoning Cormnission as shown by its final report embodied in a resolution adopted by it on September 25th, 1939, all of the blocks and property in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, bounded on the North by Park Avenue, on the West by 15th Street, on the South by I,Ionroe Street and on the East by 12th Street, is hereby declared to be an exclusive residential district within the meaning of the City Planning and Zoning Commission Law and to be used for resident- ial purposes, and no business house or business shall be permitted within said area or zone. SECTION 2. Any property owner, tenant or other person who erects, constructs or reconstructs any building in violation of or contrary to the aforesaid provisions of this ordinance, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than X10.00 nor more than $?100.00 for each offense so committed, and each day such offense is committed dhall be deemed a separate offense and shall be subject to a separate penalty under the provisions hereof, or the person so offending or so guilty of violation of the provisions hereof, may, in addition to s=b .fine, be imprisoned not more than fifty (50) days at the discretion of the Judge or Jury trying the case. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
