ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE: CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, A LEASE TO TIE UNITED STATES OF A,"1,ERICA OF A STOREROOM
LOCATED AT 215 SOUTH THIRD STREET IN SAID CITY TO BE USED AS A
PROPHYDACTIC STAT10N, AND PRESCRIBING THE TZRL:S AND CONDITIONS TO
BE CONTAINED IN SAID LEASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE C ITT OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the Mayor and the City Cleric be, and they are hereby
authorized and empowered to enter into and execute, for and on beh®
of the City of Paducah, a lease to the United States of America of
a store -room located at 215 South Third Street in said city to be
used as a prophylactic station.
SECTION 2.
The lease under which the property at 215 South Third Stree
is to be used as a prophylactic station shall provide for the paym
of rentals at the rate of Ten („10.00) Dollars per month or proper
tionate pay for any portion of a month, the term of said lease to
be -in on October lst, 1945, and to terminate on June 30th, 1946,
provided that, unless and until the Government shall give notice o
termination in accordance with provision 12 of said lease, the sam
shall remain in force thereafter from year to year without further
notice; p-ovided further that adequate appropriations are availabl
from year to year for the payment of rentals; and provided further
that said lease shall in no event extend beyond October 1st, 1946.
Said lease shall provide for the payment of rentals at the end of
each three month period and shall contain agreements, covenants an,
conditions set Borth in the attached copy wr.ich is filed with
and made a part of this ordinance to the same extent as if fully
copied herein.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
