MUNICIPAL TAXATION FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR (4) YEARS, BEGINNNING WITH THE YEAR 1946, THE MANUFACTURING PROPERTIES AND EUSINESS OF GEORGE H. WEINER AND ASSOCIATES AT THIRD AND OHIO STREETS IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. WHEREAS, under a Resolution adopted by the board of Com- missioners on August 29th, 1944 the manufacturing properties and business of Hawaiian Crafts, Incorporated, located at Third and Ohio Streets in Paducah, Kentucky, were exempt from municipal taxa- tion for a period of five (5) years, beginning with the assessments due for the year 1945; and, PJHEREAS, by amended articles of incorporation adopted by the board of directors of Hawaiian Crafts, Iticmrporated, said com- pany thereafter changed its corporate name to "Kentuckians. Potterie , Incorporated"; and, 1HEREAS, Kentuckiana Potteries, Incorporated, has since sold and conveyed to George H. Weiner and his associates the lot or parcel of land located at the Northeast corner of Third and Ohio Streets, together with the kilns and all machinery and equipment used for the manuf9cture of pottery; and, WHEREAS, the said George H. Weiner and'his associates will continue the manufacture of pottery at said location; and, ia'IIEREAS, it appearing from the application of George H. 'ieiner and his associates that their plant is now and will to maint ined as a bona fide manufacturing enterprise and that the remainder of the aforesaid original period of exemption from municipal taxation should be granted to them; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH3 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That George H. Weiner and his associates, and all manufacturing probarty owned by the said George H. Feiner and his associates at Third and Ohio Streets in Paducaki, Kentucky, be exempt from the payment td the City of Paducah of all license taxes and ad valorem taxes, with the exception of the taxes due and pa.,able for school purposes, for a period of four (4) years, be,^inning with the assessment due in the year 1946. SECTION 2.
