That the City 1,anager be, and he is hereby au thorized
to enter into and execute with the Shell Oil Company, a contract
for the purchase by the City upon its order the gasoline and oil
required for all governmental operations Burin- a period of four
(4) months from ::eptemiber 1st, 1945, said contract to contain the
followin-, terms, conditions and covenants: -
"The Company hereby agrees to sell and deliver to the City
upon its order the .,asoline and motor oil required for all govern-
mental operations durin- a period of four (4) months from zeptembe:
1st, 1945, at the following prices;
Ethyl Gasoline141-1 per cal.
X-100 i"otor Oil �(In Drums) . . . . . 67¢ per Sal.
E.:clusive of Federal Tax
Golden Shell :.:otor oil (In Drums). 46¢ per gal.
Exclusive of Federal Tax
The above prices of 1+.otor Cil are, however,
subject to further reduction for quantity
purchases, one time, one destination delivery:
Less than 25 Gallons `Ione
25 - 60 Gallons 1� per -allon
61 - 120 " 2� " "
121 - 480 " 3I1 " 11
481 - 1999 " 5I/ it "
Terms of 1% ten days - Net thirty days apply for all
purchases of Yotor Oil.
"Payment shall be made by the City not later than the tent
of each month for the amount of products sold and delivered during
the preceding month.
"In consideration of the Agreement of the City to
pir chase of the Company all of the gasoline and motor oil re-
ouired for use during the aforesaid period, the Company agrees
that in the event of a Seneral advance in the retail price of
gasoline or motor oil at any time during the aforesaid m riod,
the Company's obligation to sell and deliver ;gasoline and oil
at the aforesaid proces shall remain nd continue in full force
and effect, but in the event of a decline in the retail price of
either of said products, the City shall be given the benefit of
the reduction in price."

SECTION 2.
. As the various departments of the city must be immediately
supplied with asoline and oil for the protection of the public
health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoptiom.
