BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD Or THE
CITY Oi' PI.-UCAH, hENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That section 2 of an ordinance entitled, ":.II OP,DIIiAbi-

KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING TM RULES FOR 7-1 —1; CC:iDUCT TH-REOF, AND THE
PEi;ALTIL•S "'rIL''R}.UIDLR" which was adopted on December 13, 1915, and amended
by ordinance adopted on April 21, 1930, be, and the same is hereby amend-
ed and re -ordained so that the same shall read as follows:
"The Market stalls in the i,arket House shall be numbered as follows: On
the Northeast side, be`inning with numbers 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17 and 19;
and on the Southwest side, numbers 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18 and 20. The
prices for the license of said stalls shall be as follows: Jtalls
nwmbers 1,2,19 and 20, $12.150 per month; stalls numbers 9,10,11 and 12,
14.60 per month; and the balance of said stalls, to -writ: 3,4,5,6,7,8,
13,14,15,16,17 and 18, shall be x10.42 per month. The outside benches
at either and on both ends of said market place shall be as follows:
The outside behches at eit°mer- and on both ends of said market place shal
be rented at the rate of 5,',4.20 per month, and the center or middle rows
at either or both ends of said maitllet place shall be rented at the rate
of N5.00 per month. Provided, however, that when any of the said end
or outside benches at either or both ends or said market place are not
occupied by the lessee or lessees thereof, any farmer, grower or markete
may, upon obtaining a permit from the Iriarket i:aster, and by payin in
advance a fee of One (571.00) Dollar for each day he may so occupy said
bench, obtain permission thereby to use the same for one (1) day; but
no such permit or permission shall be for a Zrecter len=th of time than
for one (1) day. Any person using or occupying any stall or bench for
the use of which a license charge is herein imposed except those spedif
ally perm.1tted herein to use same without paying the license fee for the
use thereof, without first paying the license fee charged therefor as
above set out, and complying with all rules and rc_-ulations relative
thereto, shall be _'ined not less than w19.00 nor more than 2.0.00 and
each day this section is violated shall be a separate offense%
SECTION 2.

THERLUNDER", which was adopted on December 13, 1915, be and the
same is hereby amended and re -ordained so that said section shall
read as follows:
"It shall be the duty of the market Laster to see that all
stalls and benches in said market place are properly numbered. It
shall be his further duty to collect all rentals when the sasae shall
become due and the a:ount so collected shall be promptly paid to the
Treasurer of the City of Paducah. nll of the aforesaid license
fees for the use of stalls and benches in the market place shall be
payable to the i,,ar._et Piaster monthly in advance beginning- on the
fist day of August, 1939, and in the event of the default in the pay-
ment of any license fee for a period of thirty (30) days after the
same shall become due as herein provided, the '.,.arket Piaster may
forthwith enter and take possession of the stall or bench and no
notice to quit or demand for the premises shall be necessary. Upon
the default in the payment of any license fee for a period of
thirty (30) days after the same shall become due, it shall be the
further duty of the Parket :.:aster to furnish an itemized statement
of such delinquent rental account to the Corporation Counsel of the
City of Paducah, ;Kentucky, who shall institute an -appropriate suit
or suits in the appropriate Court or Courts for collection of the
amount due.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
This orinance shall take effect from and aft,r the date
of its passage.
